Departed Vietnam: 23 October 1971 Previous Station: Fort Bragg Authorized Strength: HHD 1966 - 147 / 1968 - 105 / 1970 - 139 The 2nd Signal Group directed the operations, training and administration of two to seven signal battalions to include logistical support and establish procedures for the communications system installed, operated and maintained by the group. The group was the major signal headquarters in Vietnam until mid-1966 when the 1st Signal Brigade arrived along with another signal group, the 21st. The 2nd Signal Group was then responsible for communications in the III Corps Tactical Zone. It was located at Tan Son Nhut until it moved to Ling Binh on 25 January 1967. Departed Vietnam: 27 November 1971 Previous Station: Fort Bragg Authorized Strength: HHD 1966- 46 / 1968- 111 / 1970 - 140 The 21st Signal Group was at Nha Trang and in charge of handling the command and coordination responsibilities for its assigned and attached signal units and communications in the II Corps Tactical Zone of Vietnam.
